How old do you have to be to be a vet assistant in Texas?
Shyquinca Ford grew up with pets and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She received her BS from the Hockaday School and her DVM from Texas A&M University. After graduation, she went into private practice for ten years. During this time, she discovered her love for acupuncture and became one of the first veterinarians in the country to earn her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine through Chi University.
She is excited to be a part of UrgentVet – Richardson’s Fear-Free Certified team. Her favorite part of her job is making visits to the vet as stress-free as possible for both pets and pet parents.
